Even during the first recordings with Peter Stodulka, there was a desire to arrange for string quartet as well. In the official debut album ‚Spring Kisses Summer Rain,‘ which was recorded at Studio 301 in Cologne, musicians from the Gürzenich Orchestra play on five songs.
In 2012, various collaborations with orchestras began, including with the Graz Salon Orchestra at a major benefit event for Fukushima. In the same year, a selection of Styrian orchestral musicians performed original songs as well as parts from Vivaldi’s ‚Four Seasons.‘ Unfortunately, the budget never allowed for some songs to be recorded with a full orchestra. However, a movement from Vivaldi’s ‚Summer‘ was recorded with a string quartet for Atmosphere Media and re-recorded in 2016 for the album ‚Saying I Love You in a Postrock Way.‘
In 2013, there was a wonderful collaboration with the renowned studio percussion, and the performance at the Night of Percussion became one of the concert highlights during this time. At this concert, there was a comeback by singer Maria Rerych, and for the first time, Tuesday Microgrooves performed with vibraphonist Raphael Meinhardt, who joined for ‚Bigger Than Us‘ in 2018.
In 2014, an invitation was received for a collaboration with Taiwanese flutist Meng-Heng Chen, for whom several pieces by Telemann and Purcell were arranged, as well as songs composed with Austrian saxophonist Georg Gratzer brought to the stage. In Austria, Tuesday Microgrooves performs alongside Sigrid Narowetz, who is increasingly becoming a permanent band member, as well as flutist Lena Tschinderle. Unfortunately, these pieces are still waiting to be recorded.
